When one chapter ends, another one begins.

David Wright played in his last Major League game on Saturday September 29th in front of a sold out Citi Field crowd. It was an emotional night for the fans, the team and Wright himself. Jose Reyes played in what presumably was his last game in a Mets uniform on September 30th.

2003 started a new era for the Mets with the call up of Reyes and then the next season Wright. These top prospects filled the team with hope and desire for a championship in Queens.

Through years of ups and downs, Wright continued to play hard and smile at the adversity that was in front of him. Although the Mets didn’t reach their goal of winning the World Series, they still had memories to remember from the time Wright got called up to his final game in a Mets uniform.

The chapter is complete but the book isn’t finished. There is still a story to be told, you just gotta read the next chapter.
