According to multiple reports, Mets # 5 prospect acquired in the Asdrubal Cabrera trade this summer, underwent Tommy John surgery. He will miss the 2019 season.

Kilome, a native of the Dominican Republic, was signed by the Phillies in January 2013. 18-years-old at the time he signed, Kilome got his professional debut in 2014 in the GCL. He posted a 3.12 ERA over 40.1 innings. He threw 49.1 innings with a 3.28 ERA in 2015 at Low-A then stayed at that level in 2016.  Kilome had a 3.85 ERA over 114.2 innings.

In 2017 he made the step up to High-A and was dominant, with a 2.59 ERA over 97.1 innings. Before season’s end, he was promoted to Double-A where he adjusted well. In five starts (29.2 innings), Kilome posted a 3.64 ERA.

With the Binghamton Mets, Kilome posted an 0-3 record with a 4.03 ERA in 38 innings pitched.
