The Mariners have contacted both the Mets and Yankees about a possible trade for Robinson Cano, according to The Athletic.

In 2078 career games, Cano has posted a .304 batting average with 311 home runs and 1233 runs batted in. His career slash line is .355/.493/.848 (OBP, SLG,OPS)

The eight-time All-Star second baseman tested positive for furosemide, a diuretic better known as Lasix, which is often used to help mask banned substances in urine tests. He was suspended 80 games in 2018.  The 35-year-old still has five years and $120 million remaining on that contract after this season.
