Updated lineup as of 1/14/19 : https://thatmetschick.com/2019/01/14/updated-2019-mets-opening-day-lineup/

On Saturday night, the Mets agreed to a deal for Robinson Cano and Edwin Diaz. Jarred Kelenic, Justin Dunn, Jay Bruce, and Anthony Swarzak are going to Seattle. The deal is agreed upon pending physicals.

If the Mets do not make any additional moves to boost their offense, this may be their lineup in 2019. I really hope they can acquire a catcher and another right handed bat.

Note: As much as I’d like a lineup of Nimmo, Mcneil, Conforto and Cano as my 1-4, I do not believe Mickey Callaway will make the lineup that left handed heavy at the top. Because of that I am producing a balanced lineup. (MetsmerizedOnline also created this lefty, righty lineup)

This is based on the 25 man roster. Peter Alonso is not currently on the 25 man roster, therefore he is not in this lineup.

2019 projected lineup:
