We sat down with an anonymous Mets player who stated he was in the best shape of his life! In his life!!!!! Oh baby this is spring training for you!

“I feel like I get around way easier. I’m stronger in BP, more mobile, I can bend over and get back to my feet quicker and change directions quicker and react faster.” -Anon

After we spoke to this Mets player several other players swarmed us. It is usually the other way around with media. They wanted the media to know and the fans to know that they were working harder than any off season before.

I am working on flexibility issues that I have had my entire life. I am becoming a more well-rounded athlete. Like, Monday at the gym I worked out with the Canadian Olympic sprint coach who was there, and worked on my sprint mechanics. Not that I am trying to become a sprinter, but I’d like to look like I am not out there running in flip flops.”

The final Mets player we caught up with seemed to be annoyed, worn out and less excited by the question we asked him because he is always asked about it. We asked him about his health….

“I feel really good, and I feel stronger right now. I’ve been working really hard to be ready for this spring and this upcoming season. I’m excited, I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. Since after I got hurt I’ve been working so hard to get to this moment. -Anon
